Anita Barone

A stage actress that is versatile and was mostly confined to shows on TV, Anita Barone received her biggest break on the stage as the spouse to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which had a single season on ABC between 1995 and. Barone made her first stage appearance at age five in Detroit which is where she was born after moving with her family from St Louis. She had performed in over 50 productions by the time of 23, mostly in the regional theatres and productions at universities. She played Juliet from Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in an adaptation of "Monday after the Miracle" as well as the character of Agnes who is a young and afflicted Nun in "Agnes of God." in 1987 she played part in a feature film named "Ricochet". Barone also played a character in "The Rozary Murders". Also in 1996, Barone played the leading lady in an independent romantic comedy known as "Just Friends". Her first Hollywood role of note came as a participant in the company that owns "Carol And Company" (NBC from 1990 to 1991) in the disastrous effort of Carol Burnett to revive the variety/sketch comedy program. Barone has also been featured in"Wounded Heart," a USA Network movie "Wounded Heart" in 1995. She returned to weekly sitcoms and co-starred in "Daddio", NBC 2000 along with Michael Chiklis.
